About this deal
Dramatic Irony: What is blatantly obvious to the reader is often unfathomable to Georgia. A prime example would be her constant complaining about her mother — her clothes, her attitude, the way she acts around her friends — when it's obvious to the reader that Georgia is a carbon copy of her mum. The book follows the adventures of Georgia Nicolson, as she tries to navigate high school and entering into romantic relationships. With the help of her friends, she manages to capture the attention of the popular, Robbie, whom she begins to become infatuated with. However, her efforts are halted by his relationship with the older Lindsay, whom Georgia believes is more mature because she wears a thong. The material "is patently offensive in the description or depiction of nudity, sexual conduct, sexual excitement, sadomasochistic abuse, or excretion" [8]
Parental Neglect: Georgia's mutti hardly ever cooks, and lets Libby play with bread knives, and her vati doesn't seem to do anything other than polish his clown car and sit around drinking beer with Uncle Eddie. Louise went on to write 9 more books in the series about the highs and lows of teenage life and her honest portrayal of teenage girls earned her the accolade of Queen of Teens.Driven to Suicide: Georgia contemplates suicide because of her big nose, wondering if anyone would really care if she killed herself, and who would turn up to her funeral. She writes a suicide note to her parents, but decides not to kill herself because she can't be bothered.
So . . . I’m sorry if you’re offended, or if this book was your early teenage happiness but the only reason I wrote such a terrible review was for the crazy coffee lover I mentioned earlier. Dashing out of the house, Jas and I almost fell into Mark, waiting by the corner. Jas (big pal) said she had to run to her house first and she would see me at school. I went a bit red and walked on with him walking beside me. He said, "Have you got a boyfriend?" Eva Drew as Liberty "Libby" Nicolson, Georgia's eccentric five-year-old sister. She likes to dress up her cat Angus.I'm not rating/reviewing anything from this series it was my favourite series when I was younger, I'm just reading them to get out of my slump...
