About this deal

OUR SATISFACTION COMMITMENT – At POR-15 we strive to bring the ultimate in rust prevention. Known for the unbeatable 3-step stop rust system, POR-15 is trusted by DIY & Professionals. We are committed to innovation, quality control, and excellent customer service. The E-TECH Brake Caliper Paint is a unique one part paint system that has been specially formulated for brake caliper application. The paint requires no mixing with hardeners or priming and is therefore easy to use with no mess. It is easy to apply and has an outstanding high quality long lasting gloss* finish which will enhance your vehicle’s brake calipers and wheel hubs. The paint can be resealed and used at a later date for touch-ups and repairs.

Firstly, take off the front retainer clip and then cover the bleeder valve using masking tape to protect it DURABLE FINISH - POR-15 Caliper Paint has excellent coverage properties, 5 brilliant ceramic-like colors, and is formulated to resist brake dust produced by harsh braking conditions. First and foremost, the product's heat resistance is outstanding. Even under extreme braking conditions, this paint held up flawlessly, without any signs of discoloration or peeling. This not only enhanced the aesthetics of my car but also contributed to a safer and more efficient braking system.Make sure the surface is dry, then apply paint with brush provided in a thin, even coat avoiding runs or droplets. Leave to dry for 30 minutes before applying a second coat. Repeat process until desired effect is achieved. Leave to dry for a further 2 hours before refitting the wheels. The vehicle should not be driven for a further 24 hours to allow paint to harden. On some surfaces you may need to apply two or three coats to achieve the desired finish. Ensure the valve is completely covered. Overlapping the layers of masking tape may help to keep paint from leaking into the joins

I will highly suggest you get a couple of sets of hobby brushes to do this job. The little 1/2 inch wide brush was perfect. You might want an even smaller one for really detailed areas. Apply the sheet carefully and precisely, so that there are no gaps where paint could leak onto the rotor. Durability is another highlight of this product. It has been several months since I applied the POR-15 Caliper Paint, and it still looks as fresh as the day I put it on. It has proven itself in all weather conditions, from scorching summer heat to freezing winter temperatures.

The time required for paint to dry will depend on the manufacturer. For instance, Rust-Oleum pain is touch-dry in 2-4 hours, but will not be fully dry for 24 hours. The brand recommends waiting at least 5-9 hours before reattaching the wheels. Meanwhile, Foliatec states that you can reattach the wheels after just 2 hours. Don't let the tiny can fool you. It's only 1 cup of paint and I worried it wasn't going to be nearly enough, but it will easily do 4 large calipers plus a LOT left over.
